The mission of GMS is to create a diverse Montessori environment for children between the ages of 3 through 12 years that provides the freedom and opportunity for each individual child to reach his or her full potential and to foster excitement for learning within a safe and nurturing community. We strive to help children continue their innate love of learning and to make education a joyful life long process. We are committed to providing a prepared environment that guides children toward development of practical, intellectual, physical and social skills. This fosters self-confidence, independence, self-discipline, respect, and personal and social responsibility.
Greenville Montessori School expects its students to:
- seek knowledge actively and use it to help others
- be truthful
- treat other individuals with courtesy, compassion and respect
- respect the property, work and rights of others
- be participating and contributing member of our School community
Greenville Montessori School reserves the right to request the withdrawal of any child if it becomes apparent that it would be in the child’s or the school’s best interest to do so.
Greenville Montessori School has been serving the needs of students and families since 1982. What began as a ‘one-room school’ has grown to 6 classrooms that serve students from 3 to 12 years. GMS is a member school of the American Montessori Society.
